Mon 12-Jun-2006 03:22 Posted by:heron
i have a panda eyes.. tp game england - paraguay abit frustrating la..
A good start by Germany. Usually World Cup games start poorly. And a shocking result between Ecuador and Poland. Nobody expects Equador to win (excepts the Equadorian), with 2 goals!.
What can I say about England's game? Bored! Bored! Bored! If they kept playing like that, I bet you the farest they can go is quater final. No further.
The best game yet is Argentina vs Ivory Coast. A good display by Ivory Coast. And I bet Argentina might go to the semi.
Overall, good games. Except for England. Rooney has to start for the next game, or England can forget the World Cup

Synopsis after game 11:
Japan vs Australia - Asia for Asian! Crap. Malaysia tak layak World Cup, sokong Jepun pun jadik la. Hehe. Japan's players look exhausted during last 10 minutes game. Maybe contributed to their defeat. Australia scored in the last 10 minutes anyway.
Rep Czech vs USA - Tomas Rosicky! Arsenal! Hehe. Nice game. I always thought Czech is a good team. They were 2nd in the world ranking, and most likely candidate to win the Euro2004 but lost to Greece in the semi final. Got several star players in the team, I am not surprise if they make it to the semi.
PS: Girls should watch Czech games. They got several good looking players too. (Dont get the wrong idea. I am not gay)
Italy vs Ghana - Italy seems too strong for the Ghanaians. Ghana fought very well anyway. But Italy's defenders seems too solid for them to break it. Not much try. Anyway, Pirlo and Luca Toni was awesome!

Synopsis after game 14:
Korea vs Togo: Asia for Asian! Long live Zotto tv!! eh ape yg aku merapek nih. hehe. Korea seems to be much more better than Japan I guess. Ahn Jung Hwan should starts the next game. One important goal, A couple of nice try, I dont see any reason to put him on the bench.
France vs Switzerland: Henry why u play so bad. Cannot make even a nice try. Haiyooo paa. If France kept playing like this, how they gonna beat Brazil then. I dont think France even deserve to be a seeded team. During the 2002, they didn't score a single goal, and the nightmare might continue if something had not been done.
Brazil vs Croatia: 3 reasons why Brazil will never win this time tournament.
1. History shows that only once a South American country had won the cup in Europe, and none Europe had won it when the tournament is in..Europe. So most likely a Europe country will win this tournament.
2. History again shows, whenever Brazil is the favourite to win the tournament, they will not.
3. Aging defenders. Carlos is 33, Cafu is 37. They were good, but old people tend to do stupid mistakes .
Thats why I am not surprised they only won by a single goal to tiny Croatia.
Wed 14-Jun-2006 03:46 Posted by:iceroll
1. History shows that only once a South American country had won the cup in Europe, and none Europe had won it when the tournament is in..Europe. So most likely a Europe country will win this tournament. <----- ape ayat ko nih.. tak paham aku...
Wed 14-Jun-2006 09:12 Posted by:rizal
owhh silap2 maksud aku...
There's only one time a South America team won the tournament when it is held in Europe, none Europe has ever won it in South America.

Anyway review after game 17:
Spain vs Ukraine: Spain 4 - 0 Ukraine. Who can believe it. It is not that Spain is too good, it is just Ukraine played sooo bad. Quite dissapointed with Shevchenko. He should deliver better.
Saudi Arabia vs Tunisia: Nice game. Enough said. Btw the first Tunisia goal was awesome! What the hell is the scorer's name again?
Germany vs Poland: Germany never won against Poland since 1975?? if I am not mistaken. Surely this is a very important game for both side. Poland played much much more better than the previous one. It took the Germans the last minutes of extra time to score. Anyway, nice game. (Every game other than England's game is nice)
Thu 15-Jun-2006 04:29 Posted by:iceroll

england? heh kalo main camtuh, jgn harap la nak menang world cup. aku rep czech. tomas rosicky rules!!
btw taqi, world cup 2010 south africa jadik host la. 2014 lak a europe country will be most likely to be the next candidate. 2018 lak turn south america. then 2022 europe again. kalo nak vote for brickfields for world cup host pun aku rase utk world cup 2026 bole la.

Review after game 20:
Ecuador vs Costa Rica: Never thought Ecuador has a strong side! Solid defense, firm midfielder and 2 good strikers, I bet u the next game against Germany will be very interesting. Since Germany currently is in 2nd place, they must win the game or else most likely have to face England in the 2nd round.
Most attraction on the game were on this 2 players, the number 8 right midfielder, Luis Valencia who assisting all 3 goals and the striker, Delgado who troubled the Costa Rica defense a lot. And I like the 2nd goal a lot.
England vs Paraguay: Nasib. Jgn harap la nak menang kalo main camnih. Come on la England stop playing long ball. When u play long ball, u wasted ur other talented midfielder. U have a lot of midfielders who can fire from outside the penalty box (Gerrard, Lampard, Joe Cole, Beckham), but once u play long ball, eventhough u have that si panjang Crouch, ur midfielder will be seems have no function. 2nd round, if u meet Ecuador, I think u will lost.
Sweden vs Paraguay
lucky Swedish. next game vs England and since both team played quite defensive, I guess this is not much awaited game

Anway review after game 23:
Argentina vs Serbia: Awe-inspiring Argentina! Who can believe it. Argentina's side, with 10 of their players were playing in their first World Cup, thrashed Serbia with 6 - 0! Classic and beautiful 2nd goal from Cambiasso. Glückwunsch zu Jose Pekerman. U got urself a good record. With 3 youth World Cup is already in ur hand, maybe this is the right time to add this Cup of Life to ur collection.
Holland vs Ivory Coast: This is what World Cup is all about. What an interesting game! Both team pushed to the limit! Cote D'Ivoire were down to 2 - 0, but they did not let the game go. They fought back and scored a magnificent goal! A goal that is comparable to the Owen's magnificent strike during the 98 tournament! The sad thing is, I do hope to see Cote D'Ivoire in the second round.
Mexico vs Angola: Shit I slept. Missed the whole game. Anyway, nothing to lose as the game ended 0 - 0 anway. Not much try, as Angola got only 1 shot on goal along the 90 minutes. So I guess it must be quite a boring game.
Sat 17-Jun-2006 06:14 Posted by:iceroll
Review after game 26:
Portugal vs Iran: A good display by Deco. He outshined both Ronaldo and Figo in this game. Unfortunately poor finishing by their striker might held them from reaching semi. Thank God they got some midfielders who are capable to fire from outside the penalty box.
Ghana vs Rep Czech: Arghhh kalah le pulak. Stupid mistakes by the central midfielder caused them the first goal. How in the world a central defender can miss heading a cross ball like that. And then the same guy make another stupid mistake by conceded a penalty and allowed himself to be sent off, because of continuesly denying the referee. Rep Czech's future seems dull as in the next game they will meet Italy, and both team need to win to secure their chance to the next round.
Italy vs USA: tak tgk la. tido pasal esoknye keje . Anyway, from the highlight that I watched this morning, 1 - 1 and 3 red cards. Hmm seems like a very high tensity game. Rugi2 tak tgk.

Sure ko takleh sembang ngan diorang pasal ko bukannye tgk bola sgt kan
Anyway review after game 29:
Japan vs Croatia: Japan seems didnt take this tournament seriously. Tahan bola tak kene, players exhausted before 90 minutes is over, they just got lucky to draw with the Croat. Anyway, thank you for giving us Yua Aida.
Brazil vs Australia: Despite their winning, I was a bit frustrated to see Ronaldo didn't score in this game. He just need another 3 goals to become the all time World Cup top scorers. Currently on the top was Gerd Muller of Germany with 14 goals (a total from 2 tournaments), and the second in ranking was Just Fontaine of France with 13 goals, where he scored all 13 in a single tournament! Ronaldo then came third with 12 goals. Come on Ronaldo!
France vs Korea: Korean was much much more better than the Japs. High spirited players, they didn't let the game go eventhough they were down to 1 - 0, to a big team like France! As for France, I guess they might enter the second round, but to win this tournament, they need to do something better.
Mon 19-Jun-2006 05:41 Posted by:iceroll
Review after game 32:
Togo vs Switzerland: Not much to talk about this game. As expected, Switzerland won by 2 goals to nothing. Somehow I do have feel that Togo's performance doesn't reach the World Cup status yet.
Ukraine vs Arab Saudi: Ukraine main lawa le plak. Maybe because their opponent was Arab Saudi . Tok Arab kalo main kat Piala Asia bukan main power lagi, kalo kat World Cup, sorry to say, quite dissappointed. Jgn kene belasah cam mase lawan German mase the 2002 nye World Cup dah le.
Spain vs Tunisia: What a comeback! ! goal down, the Spanish attacked like a raging bull, and manage to scored 3 goals before the game ended! Brilliant performance from the youngster Cesc Fabregas. Barcelona now should be regret to sell him to Arsenal
Mon 19-Jun-2006 23:00 Posted by:iceroll

Review after game 36:
Needed to remind here that 2 games in the same group will be held at the same time to prevent result setting
Germany vs Ecuador: I thought this game will be interesting. I thought wrong. Without Delgado, the Ecuadorian seems to lost their focus in this game. Even the youngster that shined before, Luis Valencia looks dull. Maybe, after Delgado comes back from suspension, they will shine again. Klose now is the top scorer with 4 goals.
Costa Rica vs Poland: This is not much meaning game for both team as they were eliminated earlier. They got nothing to lose, except for this time, pride and honor. Watched it through highlights and not much try though.
England vs Sweden: Watched it through replay this morning. England has never won against Sweden for the past 8 games. The magnificent goal from Joe Cole looks promising but Sweden managed to get even. And I guess, without Stevie G, England will find a very hard time to score a goal.
Portugal vs Trininad & Tobago: Tak tgk gak. So takleh komen.
Anyway, Germany will meet Sweden, and England meet Ecuador in the second round. Expecting Germany will win, and Ecuador might surprise England.
Wed 21-Jun-2006 04:41 Posted by:iceroll

Thu 22-Jun-2006 01:18 Posted by:heron
Heh admit it man. U want to put ur hope on that Peter Crouch? In ur dream
Anyway, review after game 40:
Portugal vs Mexico: Despite Portugal reserved most of their main players, they still manage to win. On the other side, Mexico seems like a solid team, with their reputation as no 4 in the current world ranking, but they didn't deliver as much as expected. They even missed a penalty, and lost a player due to red carded. Thank God, Angola just drew with Iran. So they got through to 2nd round.
Angola vs Iran: An important match for Angola, as they still hoped they can go through the second round with hope that they win with a big goal and Mexico lost to Portugal. Mexico do lost to Portugal, but they blew it by just drew with Iran. Not much to comment as I watched the Portugal game anyway.
Holland vs Argentina: both team looks solid. They didn't even care whom they gonna meet in the 2nd round. They reserved most of their major players. The first half looks good but in the second half, the games became slower. Anyway, not a very much important game as both team had gone through to the second round. So 0 - 0, as expected.
Ivory Coast vs Serbia: What a come back! The Cote D'Ivoire where down with 2 - 0 but they managed to win the game by 3 - 2! Great game. Both team had been eliminated earlier, and I am quite dissapointed to see Ivory Coast go home earlier. They have a strong side, but unfortunately, being in a death group, sacrifice had to be made.
Thu 22-Jun-2006 14:05 Posted by:iceroll
Review after game 44:
Czech vs Italy: Arghhhh sia2 aje beli baju Rep Czech. Tought they gonna go far. Daymne. Terpaksa la beli baju Argentina lak lepas nih. . Anyway, from the beginning of the game, I thought it is an impossible mission for Czech to go through the 2nd round. With 1 goal behind, 1 man down and Ghana is 1 goal ahead of Serbia, only miracle can help them. And I guess, they were not lucky enough by conceeding another.
Ghana vs Serbia: Ghana was throughly a magnificient team. But they lack of a very sharp striker. Their midfielder is solid enough, with Essien and Appiah leads the center. They will meet Brazil in the second round, and I bet Brazil will find a hard time to beat them.
Brazil vs Japan: I am happy because Ronaldo scored twice in this game. This means that he is the all time top goal scorer in World Cup with 14 goals, together with Gerd Muller. Another one goal, then u are a living legend Ronaldo. As for Japan, they didn't deserve any place in the second round. Nakata was right, his teammates were not taking this competition serious enough. Come on man, this is World Cup.
Australia vs Croatia: Guss Hiddink was truely a magnificient coach. The Aussie has never entered the World Cup finals since 1974, but under his Midas touch, he brought the Aussie to the second round! Twice down, they didn't let the game go and manage to level up. By the way, I hate Brett Emerton. Never like him wether in the Aussie team nor Everton. Stupid. How come he can do such a stupid foul. Then being red carded, sent away and causes his teammates to play with 10 men.
Fri 23-Jun-2006 08:22 Posted by:iceroll
Review after game 48:
Saudi Arabia vs Spain: Spain features most of their substitutes in this game, in order to avoid their major player being booked or got injured. But still, they managed to won this game by 1 goal. Decent ball in by Reyes, and a good header from what the heck is his name, enough to decide who win or lose.
Ukraine vs Tunisia: 1 goal from Chenko Chenko through penalty, enough to send the Ukrainian to the second round. Quite a bored game. Nothing interesting to comment here.
Togo vs France: France got lucky. If Switzerland and Korea draw, they will be eliminated. But they won, and thank God Switz won also. So they got through. But I bet you, that is the farest they can go.
Switzerland vs Korea: Switzerland ended the Asian hope by defeating Korean 2 - 0. Good header from Sanderos, and controversial goal from Frei. I think that Frei's goal is offside though (Dila tak paham ape itu offside yea yea). But anyway, salute to the Korean for their high spirited players and fans. And I think they deserve the place in second round, rather than France.
Sat 24-Jun-2006 13:03 Posted by:iceroll
Overall performance after the group stage:
Good performance by Arsenal players. Hehe. Toure and Eboue in Ivory Coast, Sanderos of Switzerland, Ashley Cole of England, Fabregas of Spain, Lujgberg of Sweden, Lehmann of Germany, Henry of France and even Tomas Rosicky also manage to score 2 goals. Hehe. I know I know he is not a gooner yet, but I still want to count him in. Hehe. How about Vieira? Hehe
The only players that did not perform is Adebayor of Togo. Buat perabih duit bayor aje. Ceh

Game review 2nd Round 1 & 2:
Germany vs Sweden: I always wondered, why do people said Ballack is so powerful, and last night after I watched the Germany's game, now I know. No wonder Jose Maurinho wants him so badly. Eventhough Lukas Podolsky score both goals, Ballack still able to win the MOM title. What a performance by him. So many game creation, and outside the penalty box try, other EPL teams should fear him when the season is open.
Argentina vs Mexico: A match with the highest quality yet. What a fascinating game. 2 goals from both sides in the early 10 minutes game, didn't hold them to play defensive. Mexico gave a brave and ambitious challenge, but the stunning goal from Rodriguez in the extra time enough to end their challenge. That goal was surely superb. He took the ball with his chest and sent a left-foot volley past the goalkeeper. The game was so nice and so beautiful, this is, what the World Cup is all about.
So Germany will meet Argentina in the Quaterfinal. This is, probably the most awaited match of this tournament.
Sun 25-Jun-2006 03:41 Posted by:iceroll
Game review 2nd round 3 & 4:
England vs Ecuador: Just like what I thought. Bored. That is my friend, the interesting thing about England. They can drag any team who play against them to play dull. Even Brazil or Argentina. 1 - 0. Beckham scored through freekick. Enough said. You'll get the idea.
Portugal vs Holland: The only thing that stopped this game from becoming interesting is.... the referee. Crap. 4 red cards, and 16 yellow cards. Blow the whistle too much. Man. We want to watch the game, not you. Anyway, pity Holland. A good side, but Portugal were just lucky.
Mon 26-Jun-2006 10:19 Posted by:iceroll
Man. Lately I will feel sleepy everytime I watched a football match. No matter the 9 o'clock game, or 10, or 11 or 12 or 3 in the morning, I can't stand more than 15 minutes. This is not happening to me!

Game review 2nd round 5 & 6:
Am I the only one who feel that this World Cup tournament is getting dull? Lets check this out.
Italy vs Australia: 10 men Italy won 1 - 0 against Australia through penalty, 5 seconds before the game ended!
Ukraine vs Switzerland: Ukraine won 3 - 0 from the penalty spot after a dull goalless draw in 120 minutes play.
Go figure.
Ukraine vs
Tue 27-Jun-2006 02:11 Posted by:iceroll
Game review 2nd round 7 & 8:
Brazil vs Ghana: Brazil seems way toO strong for Ghana. Mcm main petang2 aje. Who said Brazil only good because of their individual skills? Look at all their goals. One player will play offside, and the ball will be send to him, but he didn't take it. Another player will run from inside and took the ball. So no offside. That's what we call teamwork. Besides, Ronaldo scored again. Nobody, I mean nobody, has ever scored more World Cup goal than Ronaldo. 15 goals, outstand the previous record of Gerd Muller with 14 goals. And he still got a long way to go. He is, truely a living legend now.
Spain vs France: Spain always is dissappointing. Never go as far as Semi final, although they have a quite strong side. I never count their golden boy Raul as a powerful striker. They need to find another tactical game that is promising. France was not so great team. It doesn't make sense that Spain lose to France.
Wed 28-Jun-2006 12:10 Posted by:iceroll
it doesnt make sense? with vieira playing like Arsenal ways - les bleus are fromidable!
Thu 29-Jun-2006 11:16 Posted by:heron
Shite freaking busy. Anyhow I'll still comment on the game.
Game review of Quater final 1 & 2.
Germany vs Argentina: Argentina didn't display their best on this game. Too much careful. They didn't display the quality like they trashed Serbia in the group stage before. Besides, injury (goalkeeper and Requelme) duirng the game blows the coach's strategy. But the penalty kick, how in the world that Pekerman allows defender to take it. Anyway, a good and promising shows from the Pekerboys. Sad to hear that he resigned after the lost, because I believe if he still be the coach and maintain the same squad, they will be the next champion of World Cup.
Italy vs Ukraine: I am still amazed how in the world Ukraine can go this far. They were beaten 4 - 0 by Spain, but still they managed to get to Quater final, as Spain was held by France in the second round. Nothing much to say about this game. Italy were too strong for the Ukrainian. Solid defending, and a very sharp forward. Plus poor display by the Ukraine goalkeeper. The first goal was a nice one, but i believe the goalkeeper should've save it. If it is Petr Cech, he will save it. Anyway, Italy deserve the semi final spot.
Wed 5-Jul-2006 03:46 Posted by:iceroll
Game review of Quater final 3 & 4:
England vs Portugal: 0 - 0. As expected. Thank God England lost the penalty shootout. England definitely ruin this tournament. Bored. And they blame Ronaldo because of Rooney's sent off. Crap. If Rooney ever played full time, I don't think he can do anything to change the result. Frustrating performance by Lampard throughout this tournament. 22 shots on goal, 0 goal. What kind of statistic is that. I don't like Portugal either, but it is better them than England.
France vs Brazil: Who can believe it. France 1 - 0 Brazil. A nice goal from Thierry Henry. And Zidane was sublime! Magnificent! He displayed a total quality as he performed during the 98 tournament and Euro 2000. He with the help from Vieira and Henry troubled Brazil defender a lot. Not much Ronaldinho and Emerson can do to regain control in the center. They controlled most of the game, and they deserve the semi final spot. I believe Brazil lost because they were over confident to win this match. Pride do kills u know. Pride will do.
But look at Brazil's attacks the last 3 minutes game. My God. It is like a hord of raging bulls. Unfortunately, luck stops them from winning the match
Wed 5-Jul-2006 04:07 Posted by:iceroll
Game review of Semi final 1:
Germany vs Italy: Fascinating! Magnificent game! 120 minutes of play, and they don't even look tired! Italy deserve to win this match. The controlled the match, many shots on goal, and three times denied by the bar, and they tried everything to avoid the penalty shootout. But it came at the last 3 minutes. A wonderful curl from Grosso produced the first goal. The Germans then started to attacked back. 2 minutes to go and they need one goal. Unfortunately at this time, they defenses became weak, because they focused too much on the attacking. Counter attack from Italy, Gilardino got pass through the midfield, but held by the Germans defender. He sensed Del Piero flanking from left, and he passed through. Nice right foot flick from Del Piero produced a goal. And it is over for Germany.Italy sure deserve the final spot.
Wed 5-Jul-2006 04:21 Posted by:iceroll
Game review of semi final 2:
France vs Portugal: Mak aihh ngantuk siot tgk game nih. Anyway, first half, it was a very open game. both teams allowing their opponent to cross in the ball. Dangerous situation all the time. But somehow Henry was bring down by Carvalho inside the penalty box, and Zidane easily scored from the penalty box. Enough to bring them to the final. I never liked Portugal anyway. It is good that France the one who manage to go to the final. I remembered the semi final in Euro 2000 between both team. It was a very magnificient game. Many shots on goals, and the goalkeepers need to work hard to save their goal post. And like a dejavu, France won from the penalty spot by the same player, Zidane.
So the final would be between Italy and France, bringing back the memory of the Euro 2000 final. Judging from the both semi final games, I think Italy will win. Italy seems will play better everytime they meet a big team, such as Germany. But maybe their powerhorse midfielder Zidane can do some magic to outshine the Italian. Anyway, football is 90 minutes, or perhaps is 120 minutes.

Game review 3rd and 4th placing:
Portugal vs Germany: Its just Schweinsteiger's day. 2 goals, 1 assist. Anyway the joy is not as much high as going to the final. Anyway good game from both side. But I hate the way Portugal play. Harsh tackles by their defenders, and jumping inside the penalty box. And they had been practicing this technique, as far as I can remember, from the game against Holland. Shit. Keji siot. Play like a man la.
Anyway good strike from Schweinsteiger, especially the third goal. Nothing the goalkeeper can do. Anyhoo, Deco was awesome, controlling the midfielder well, outshine the Germany's midfielders.
Btw, booooooo to skill Ronaldo yg tak jadik. Hehehehe.

Review of final game:
Shite ramai gile org kat Hartamas. Kuar kul 11 mlm pun dah penuh dah table. The crowd were magnifiecent. Most of them support Italy though. But I just love the Brylcream girls. Awek Melayu pakai skirt pendek tak hingat punye, giving away Brylcream hair gel. I was like stunned and stared the girl's leg, when she suddenly sounded me, "Jgn tgk lama2 bang, segan." Wtf?? Suprisingly I answered back, "Dah cantik tgk aje la." She was just smiling. Berani btol org pompuan skang. Aku balik yg naik takut.
Anyhoo, comment on the game.
Italy vs France: A good start from both side. At first I thought France will play defensive, after they got the first goal, but I thought wrong. Besides, the game just started for 7 minutes. The goal from Materazzi heated up the game. And I think Henry played very well that night. Cannavaro, one who many claimed as one of the best defenders in the world right now, had a very hard time to mark him. He managed to escape and try several times. And I think Henry has found the rythme to play in international game, because he usually did not shine in international level.
Eventough Italy dominated the game, but France were the one who more attacking though. I should give big applause to Pirlo, he managed the midfield very well, and he is still very young. A bright future for this young lad.
But quite dissapointing the game ended with penalty shootout. Blame the defeat to Zidane, if ever he didn't do that stupid mistake, he might be still in the game and taking one of the penalties. And maybe France will still on the course.
Anyhoo, Italy has won the cup of life. Another star will be added to their FA's logo, in honor of winning the cup. I'll give my summary about the world cup later
